Everything Xero knows,in one working view

Connect Xero and CashFish imports your invoices, bills, contacts, and bank transactions into a single working view. The access is read-only, so your Xero organization stays exactly as it is.

One-way import: Xero stays your ledger and system of record. CashFish reads from it, never writes back to it, and does not replace it.

01Two weeks you cannot see

Xero has the invoices.
It won't tell you Thursday.

Everything needed to see the next fortnight already exists inside the organization. Assembling it takes a spreadsheet, an hour, and then the same hour again next week.

Money that is owed and is not yet money
Two invoices, both sent, both expected inside a fortnight. Neither is in the account, and the account balance is the only number anyone actually looks at before deciding something.
owed · not banked
−$2,580
Bills that arrive on a schedule of their own
The print bill lands on the 4th, the office lease leaves on the 1st of every month. Individually unremarkable; together they decide whether the middle of the month is comfortable.

Contacts carrying history that stays behind
Every customer and supplier in Xero has years of activity attached. The same names exist again in a CRM or a notebook somewhere, with none of it.

The forward view somebody rebuilds each week
Export the invoices, export the bills, line them up by date, add the lease. It works, and it is obsolete by Friday, which is why it usually isn't done at all.
manual · weekly

Xero remains the ledger and this changes nothing about where the accounting lives. What has always been missing is the view forward, and that has always been a manual build.

02What comes across

Four things come in.
Nothing is written back.

A deliberately narrow connection: CashFish asks Xero for the records that describe money owed and money due, with read access only and no write scope of any kind.

01Invoicessales invoices with status, amounts and due dates
02Billswhat's owed, to whom, and when it leaves
03Contactscustomers and suppliers from your Xero organization
04Bank transactionsthe transaction history recorded behind your accounts
DIRECTION OF TRAVELThe import runs one way only — CashFish reads from Xero, and your organization there is never modified.

Access is granted on Xero's own consent screen and can be withdrawn from Xero settings, or from the Connection Health panel in CashFish, at any moment. Data is protected with 256-bit encryption; CashFish is SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and GDPR compliant.

03One import, taken apart

One fortnight,
assembled from your own records.

Everything below came from the Xero import — two expected invoices, two bills, one of them the lease that leaves every month. Nothing was typed, and nothing went back the other way.

Xero and QuickBooks import into CashFish one way only. They stay your ledger and your system of record: CashFish reads from them, never writes back, and does not replace the accounting software or the accountant working inside it. Projections are estimates from your own history — not accounting reports and not guarantees.

04What becomes visible

The balance stops being
the whole answer.

Three things change once invoices, bills and contacts sit in one place with their dates attached.

01
Money in and money out, one timeline
Bills from Xero line up next to the invoices you're waiting on, so the next two weeks stop being a guess.
02
A cash view past the bank balance
CashFish projects cash forward from your imported receivables, payables and recurring patterns. The projections are estimates — but estimates beat surprises.
03
Contacts that carry their history
Customers and suppliers arrive from Xero with their activity attached, feeding vendor insights and your CRM contact list without retyping a thing.
05Connecting Xero

One consent screen,
one direction of travel.

Three steps, nothing installed, and no change of any kind inside your Xero organization. Disconnect from either side and the imported records stay where they are.

01
Authorize in Xero
Grant read-only access through Xero's own consent screen. You can revoke it any time from Xero settings or from Connection Health in CashFish.
02
Select the organization
Choose which Xero organization to import — each one connects independently if you run several.
03
Import and check the mapping
Invoices, bills, contacts and bank transactions arrive with their Xero details intact. Confirm how they map to your CashFish categories.

Connection method: Xero OAuth — read-only, one-way import. Data is protected with 256-bit encryption and CashFish is SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and GDPR compliant. Every connection shows its state in the Connection Health panel and can be disconnected there at any time.

06Works alongside

The ledger is one input.
These are the others.

Beside the accounting import: Stripe, Square and PayPal for takings; Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo Mail, iCloud Mail, Zoho Mail and any IMAP inbox for receipts and bills; Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive for documents; Zapier and webhooks for everything else.
