Financial paperwork living in OneDrive or a SharePoint library flows straight into CashFish — no exporting, no re-uploading, no retyping. Files up to 250 MB are read, so year-end bundles come across too.

01A library everyone feeds and nobody reads

Filing improved.
The books did not.

The shared library did its job: the paperwork is in one place, named properly, and everyone knows where to put things. What it cannot do is tell you what February cost.

THE HABIT
Everybody files. Nobody reads back.
Priya adds the utilities invoice, Tom adds the card statement, the folder structure holds. Three months later the library is tidy and the numbers are still unknown.
SharePoint › Ops › Bills
THE DETOUR
Download it, re-upload it, retype it
Getting a statement into anything that counts means exporting from OneDrive, uploading somewhere else, and keying the lines by hand — for a file that was already sitting on the server.
export · upload · retype
THE MONTH
Forty-one statement lines and eighty-three receipts that never meet
Both sets exist. Both are correct. Reconciling them is an afternoon of holding one window beside another and ticking things off.
41 lines · 83 receipts

A document library is a filing cabinet with better search. It still needs someone to read it.

02What the library gives up

Personal folders or
a shared library — same reading.

Point CashFish at a private OneDrive folder, a SharePoint-backed library your finance team already shares, or both. Every document arrives as a draft entry linked back to its source file.

One way in. This is a one-way import: CashFish reads from OneDrive and never creates, edits, or deletes files there.

Supplier invoicesread from OneDrive folders or SharePoint-backed shared libraries
Expense receiptsextracted with OCR and linked back to the source file
Card & bank statementsstatement PDFs broken into lines and assigned to their month
Contracts & policiesamounts, dates and terms pulled from the text
Large PDFsfiles up to 250 MB supported, so year-end bundles import too

The Graph scopes requested are the minimum: read access to the folders you select, plus User.Read so your account name can be shown in CashFish settings. No access to email, calendar, contacts or any other Microsoft 365 service is requested.

03The contract, and the date that matters

A statement, an invoice, a policy —
and the dates hiding inside them.

Each file is read once and gives up the same shape: who it involves, what it is worth, and the date that makes it matter this month rather than next. The source file stays linked to the record.

CashFish reads the library. It never edits, moves or deletes the original — no file is created in OneDrive, and nothing counts against your storage.

04What changes

A quarter of filing,
returned as a quarter of books.

Three things that are different a month after connecting OneDrive — with the numbers each one actually produces.

01
A quarter's folder, fully read
The Q1 library your team has been feeding all quarter comes back as classified entries — 99% extraction accuracy, each record linked to its source document.

02
One library the whole team feeds
On Microsoft 365, point CashFish at a SharePoint-backed shared library. Whoever files the document, the record shows up in the same books.

03
Statements meet their receipts
Card statements imported from OneDrive sit beside the receipts that explain them, so reconciling a month means confirming matches instead of chasing paper.

05Three steps to connected

Connect it once.
Then stop thinking about it.

Three steps — the same three on a personal Microsoft account or on Microsoft 365.

01
Sign in with Microsoft
Works with a personal Microsoft account or Microsoft 365. Authentication runs through Microsoft's own OAuth screen — CashFish never handles your credentials.
02
Choose folders or a shared library
A private OneDrive folder, or a SharePoint-backed library your finance team already shares. You'll need viewing access to whatever library you select.
03
Review what comes in
Each document arrives as a draft entry linked to its source file, ready to approve, recategorize, or dismiss from the review queue.
Microsoft OAuth (Graph API) — read access to chosen folders

Authentication runs through Microsoft's own OAuth screen — CashFish never handles your credentials. You will need viewing access to whatever library you select, and the connection can be disconnected from the Connection Health panel. Data is protected with 256-bit encryption under SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and GDPR, and every connection can be reviewed or disconnected from the Connection Health panel in settings.

06Connects well with

Documents rarely
arrive from one place.

Outlook
The mailbox the supplier bills already arrive in, with 150 days of history on connect.
Microsoft Teams
Notifications delivered where the finance conversation already happens.
Google Drive
Aim CashFish at a Drive folder and the backlog is worked through file by file.
DocuSign
Completed envelopes become contract records carrying values and term dates.

Duplicate detection runs across every source, so the same invoice appearing in a mailbox and a shared folder is recorded once. Accounting sync with QuickBooks and Xero is a one-way import into CashFish — your accounting file stays the ledger and is never written to. Shopify is in private beta and available by request only.

07The plan for this

Starter reads it.
Teams shares it.

OneDrive import is included from Starter — extraction, classification, expense and subscription tracking and CSV or PDF export. Multi-user access with roles, permissions, admin controls, shared dashboards and a centralized document store is a Teams-plan feature.
